RedBird are the new owners of AC Milan and while Gerry Cardinale will be the face of the fund, he will be assisted by his right-hand man Alec Scheiner.
Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) speaks about Scheiner who is a key advisor and assistant to Cardinale with regards to investments in sport. Scheiner should join the board at Milan and will provide all his experience in the sector.
For years he has been a key figure at probably the NFL’s biggest brand, the Dallas Cowboys, having been a big pusher of the construction of the AT&T Stadium, a new state-of-the-art home for the Texas team which cost $1.3bn.
Scheiner joined RedBird in 2016 and oversaw all major sporting projects from the involvement in Fenway Sports Group and the Red Sox, to the Pittsburgh Penguins of the NHL and Toulouse in Ligue 2. He will be a key figure in the new Milan, especially when looking at the new stadium.
