CF: Change to come in Milan’s Board of Directors as resignation is accepted

By Oliver Fisher -

Some interesting news has arrived regarding Milan’s Board of Directors as a resignation has been accepted, a report claims.

According to Calcio e Finanza, in recent days Gianluca D’Avanzo – a Co-Founder (together with Salvatore Cerchione) and Managing Partner of Blue Skye Financial Partners – resigned from Milan’s board. He had joined the board of the club in July 2018, but back in March 9 he resigned from his role as director of the Milan Board of Directors.

It is a resignation that the Board itself accepted in a meeting held on March 23, and now the club – together with Elliott Management – have started discussions to identify a new person who will be able to join the Board at least until the next Shareholders’ Meeting.

D’Avanzo began his adventure in the business world in 2000 with Lehman Brothers before moving to private equity fund BC Partners – who have been linked with acquiring a stake in Inter. In 2005 he became Vice President of US hedge fund DB Zwirn, where he met Salvatore Cerchione and then founded Blue Skye.
