The importance of qualifying for the Champions League again cannot be understated this season for AC Milan as it is crucial for the sustainability of the club, a report suggests.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), the economic sustainability of the club at this level is dependent on being in the Champions League group stages again next season.
It generates very high incomes, such as the €10 million that the club earned from Tuesday night’s win over Tottenham Hotspur.
RedBird and Gerry Cardinale are adamant that the club must stay at Europe’s top table if it is to develop further.
By establishing themselves as a club in the Champions League every year, the Rossoneri can then start to climb further and further up the ladder with the right signings to begin challenging for the trophy itself for the first time in many years.
Milan are currently outside of the top four.
