Vitiello: Chelsea and Milan will ‘certainly talk about’ permanent deal for Joao Felix

Joao Felix only was officially announced as an AC Milan player last week, but the Rossoneri are already thinking about making his loan deal permanent.

With a goal on his debut and multiple impressive signs shown in his first Serie A game, things have started very well for Felix in a Milan shirt, and this is exactly what the management, Sergio Conceicao and the star will have wanted.

In recent years, finding consistency has been an issue and this is the same on and off the pitch, but everyone has already thought about the future it seems, and this was evident in Felix’s unveiling press conference.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic also spoke about the fact that there had been thoughts about a permanent stay already if things were in the best interest of all parties, and the Swede was certainly not a closed book about the idea.

Now, Antonio Vitiello states on Milan News that discussions will ‘certainly’ take place about the future, especially considering Felix wants to make the Diavolo take a gamble on him in the long term.

Performances, as expected, will be the big selling point to the player, especially those that are deemed ‘Felix-like’ considering any moves will take a ‘major financial effort.

    1. There was no time before the deadline, in that 1 day, but they can’t do it this month and settle the matter without getting into unknown territory if he plays good and Chelsea figures out they could make some money.

    2. Because if you’re Chelsea, what’s the hurry? Why not just see if you have a market for him in summer? There’s no official way to insert a buy clause into the loan deal now anyway.

And first, let’s see if he can help us get back into the UCL that we’ll need to be in to be able to afford him!

      1. Joao isn’t a spectacular footballer so Chelsea do not mind if he goes. In the Chelsea team there are a few players who have better qualities than Joao so I understand why Joao is not a starter.

He isn’t going to be better at chelsea if he does well in the next 6 months believe me. Milan can probably negotiate another loan with an option to buy and hopefully they have a structure on how to pay Chelsea in installments.

  1. What is wrong with these people?
    Where are they hurrying?
This guy was never consistent. Therefore, couldn’t settle to any team so far. Also his attitude is not very consistent neither.

Let’s wait till, let’s say, April. Then we can come back to this topic again.

Chelsea won’t sell him less than 30 million. Apparently, he didn’t prove that he is worth 30 million with his recent form.

  2. No rush here. He’s failed to stick everywhere else. He’s on a 7 year contract on high wages at Chelsea, so he has no reason to do anything, except playing time. Chelsea has no market. Any permanent transfer depends on Felix being willing to take a pay cut (or Felix turning into the world-beater we want him to be). If he does well, we’ll do another 1 year loan. If not, we’ll send him back.
