CorSport: Chelsea and Milan at a stalemate over Ziyech loan formula

By Euan Burns -

Chelsea and AC Milan are at a stalemate over the loan formula for Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today (via Milan News), the two clubs are struggling to agree on the formula of the loan and now they appear unable to make any progress towards the transfer.

The player likes the Rossoneri and wants to come to Serie A but he has a salary that is too high for Milan to pay all of.

As well as that, Chelsea are pushing for Milan to have an obligation to buy the player at the end of the deal but Milan don’t want that.

The Rossoneri want it to be a dry loan or at the most an option to make the deal permanent.

Ziyech would represent a clear improvement on the right side of Milan’s attacking quartet but they may need to pursue other targets now.

  1. The only way this management is agreeing to obligation to buy is if the transfer fee is set at 15mill we are a cheap lot 🤣🤣, and I love it. What if he fails to perform we’d be fucked having a prime player we must buy and on a fat salary we can’t pay

  2. We cannot pay his salary lol. What else is new. And ya obligation to buy at 30yrs old for 25-30M is super risky. Dry loan like Lukaku
