CorSport: Chelsea star must lower his salary to complete January Milan move

By Euan Burns -

Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech could join AC Milan on loan in the January transfer window but he would need to lower his salary expectations first, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), the links between Ziyech and Milan are not going to disappear having rumbled on throughout the summer transfer window too.

The Moroccan winger was already getting very little game time under Thomas Tuchel and the situation has not changed now that Graham Potter is in charge. He is on the fringes of the project and that is why a loan move away in January is very plausible.

Milan would like some extra quality to use on the right wing and Ziyech could be the perfect candidate. The issue is that Milan cannot afford his current salary.

He would need to lower his salary demands or get Chelsea to pay a percentage of the wages for the move to work.

  1. Milan should sell Ibrahim who has been injured the majority of his time at Milan. Ziyech is younger, more of a goal threat and more influential in games. Milan open up your wallet and spend. Ziyech should leave to get deserved minutes on the pitch. Potter will not survive the season.
