Express: Chelsea could cut their losses as £47.7m man is offered to Milan and Juventus

AC Milan are one of three clubs who have been offered the chance to sign Timo Werner from Chelsea by his agent, a report claims.

As CaughtOffside report, the German striker sealed a £47.7m move from RB Leipzig nearly two years ago but he has hit some difficulties this season and there are reports that Chelsea could look to move him on.

The German has scored less than 20 goals since his arrival back in the summer of 2020 and manager Thomas Tuchel is seemingly losing his patience with Werner a bit, after his latest disappointing display in the shock 4-1 defeat to Brentford at the weekend.

That means that at the end of the season the Blues could try to cut their losses, and The Express claims that ahead of the summer window the striker’s agent has been busy offering his client’s services to Milan as well as rivals Juventus and Atalanta.

Given that the Rossoneri are in the market for a new long-term option to lead the line, they could well be interested in exploring a deal.

  1. The question will be where he would play in Milan. He suffered being a lone CF in Chelsea. Should he play as a winger, he would be more effective on the left as he is right-footed.

  2. Just imagine the speed:

Leao left, Werner in the middle, Asensio right and Dybala behind them….

And yes i know that it’s very unlikley to happen.
