CorSera: Milan want Kjaer’s compatriot from Chelsea to cover for his injury

AC Milan remain interested in signing Andreas Christensen from Chelsea but may be left disappointed in their pursuit, a report claims.

It was confirm earlier in the month on Milan’s official website that Kjaer underwent an arthroscopy on his left knee to reconstruct his anterior cruciate ligament and re-insert his medial collateral ligament. The operation was carried out at the La Madonnina Clinic and was perfectly successful, but he will be out for at least six months as a result.

According to this morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), Kjaer’s compatriot Christensen is among the names who are being considered as targets for the Rossoneri when the window opens in just under a week.

The 25-year-old former Borussia Monchengladbach youngter’s contract is due to expire on June 30, but there is also a chance he will renew his contract with the Blues where he has been for nearly a decade.
