The AC Milan management are beginning to plan for next season, and they have made the signing of a winger one of their priorities.
For Milan, a lot of the focus is on finding the right sporting director to lead the new era, who in turn will have to make a decision on the head coach and also certain members of the squad, plus some key renewals. Igli Tare is the favourite at the moment, as per reports this morning.
Antonio Vitiello published his weekly column for MilanNews and among other topics he spoke about an area within the squad that the current management have already decided requires intervention.
“Milan are looking for an attacking winger for next season. The first moves have started a few days ago. The question is legitimate, but without a coach and sporting director how can Milan already move on the market?” he begins.
“Clearly there are some positions that will need to be strengthened regardless, but above all they want to get to the summer already with a range of available names to work on. Furthermore, Milan have put Chukwueze up for sale after two years of anonymity.
“He is one of the transferable ones on the market after he almost packed his bags in January to join Fulham. The deal fell through due to a question of time, but in the three summer months there will be plenty of time to find a solution.
“The Nigerian arrived in July 2023 with the intention of making his mark with the Rossoneri shirt and making a difference after a long negotiation with Villarreal, but except in rare cases in which he was the protagonist of good plays, he has always lived in Pulisic’s shadow.”
One of the things that the new coach will have to establish is a preferred formation, because a more permanent change to a three-man defence – after Friday’s experiment yielded great results – might change to profile of winger to try and pursue.

But after this winger let’s sign at least two pure attacking midfielders to adapt to 4-2-3-1 formation.
Agreed as to the AMs, but it depends on the formation used next season. We first need to hire a DS and then a coach. Once that’s done, they will determine what formation we’re going to use, and our recruiting will reflect that. If the new coach prefers to use 4-3-3, AMs will be less necessary. If it’s 4-2-3-1, then yes, we’ll need at least one to rotate with Reijnders, because Reijnders ought to be the starting AM. A young Italian profile, like Fazzini, could do. Then, if Conceicao decides to continue the 3-4-3 experiment, and if that formation continues to yield results, the new coach (or if Conceicao remains) might decided to continue with that formation. If so, wingers will still be needed and perhaps another AM as well, so we could play a flexible formation which could be either 3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1.
If Conte comes the 4-2-3-1 is dead, then it’s 3-4-1-2

Alesi, liberali, ianesi would probably do better than chuke from the futuro if given the mins hes been given over the season. Saelemakers also wouldve done better. Just give chuke to roma and keep tammy. And bring back saelemakers and give the youth opportunities. Pulisic can cover there too.
Too soon to sell player, but if new coach position will be evaluating too. So need wait n see, theo, maignan must renewal if want to sell them, it will be give some efect to selling price(Milan deserve get more profit). For goalkeeper Milan must considering Lunin to change Maignan position. For coach must have Klopp, Ten Hag n De Zerbi or Gasperini, they all can work with young talents n they can work with Milan Fund condition (Milan Budget for transfer palayer)
