CM: Adli skips Milan training with move imminent – the terms agreed with Fiorentina

Yacine Adli has missed today’s training session at Milanello as a move to Fiorentina is now on the verge of completion, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com report that Adli has agreed to leave Milan despite his initial idea being to stay with the Rossoneri even as a reserve option, as has almost always been the case since his arrival from Bordeaux three years ago.

Having arrived as a playmaker, over time Adli has been moved back to become a defensive midfielder, but this adaptation has not been enough to convince the new head coach Paulo Fonseca to keep him around as shown by the fact he was excluded from the squad for the first two league games.

The Frenchman has said yes to Fiorentina and in the next few hours the plan is that he will travel to Tuscany to undergo medical tests and sign the contract. Marseille were also interested in him, but La Viola were quicker as they did not need to sell before buying.

The basis of the deal is a loan with an option to buy around €13m, and if the loan were made permanent he would sign a four-year deal. The former Bordeaux man is not training with Fonseca’s team today precisely because of how close the move is.
