CM: Atalanta unwilling to sell star this summer as Milan ponder €6m offer

Milan will be looking to reinforce the squad in the summer and regardless of the Champions League, some players will be brought in. They have even set their sights on league rival’s star, a report claims.

The player in question, of course, is Josip Ilicic who has been linked with the Rossoneri in recent weeks. His relationship with Gian Piero Gasperini, the manager of Atalanta, is far from perfect and has fueled the rumours.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are observing the situation and sporting Ricky Massara would like to replicate the operation that saw Papu Gomez join Sevilla. In other words, with a transfer fee of €4-6m.

However, Atalanta don’t want to part ways with the 33-year-old, who has six goals and nine assists in Serie A this season. A lot will depend on Ilicic, who might want to try his wings in a bigger club before it’s too late.
