CM: Cardinale working on managerial role for Ibrahimovic at Milan

AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale is keen on offering Zlatan Ibrahimovic a managerial role between the boardroom and the first team following his retirement, a report claims.

As has been reported by Calciomercato, the RedBird Capital CEO is starting to make some drastic changes to the club and is clearly taking a more hands-on role.

That started by taking the decision to sack technical director Paolo Maldini and sporting director Frederic Massara. It was a decision that took many by surprise and has supposedly angered much of the playing squad.

His next big move could be to make an offer to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who announced his retirement from professional football after the final game of the season at San Siro.

Whilst he is ready to make this offer, there is a belief that Ibrahimovic wants more time to decide what his first endeavour will be after retiring from football.
