CM: Chelsea winger hoping to use the World Cup to force Milan’s hand

By Oliver Fisher -

Hakim Ziyech made the headlines last night as he scored an extraordinary goal from his own half to surprise Georgia’s goalkeeper Mamardashvili, and he wants to keep impressing with his future uncertain.

According to Calciomercato.com, Ziyech is highly motivated to have a great World Cup and put the last two years at Chelsea behind him, given he has had very little playing time on the pitch despite the changes in head coach.

The feeling between Ziyech and Milan has been going on since last summer, with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara having tried to bring him to the Rossoneri on several occasions given their admiration for the player.

The directors have do not completely close the door for January, because even though no movements are expected concerning the right wing department in January, an exception could be made for Ziyech.

The door could open further if the Moroccan were to impress at the World Cup, with the 29-year-old hoping to secure himself a brighter future.
