CM: Dragusin experiencing a golden moment – the truth about Milan’s interest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in the market for a new central defender and it appears that Radu Dragusin of Genoa is a name they are monitoring with great interest, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com write how Dragusin is experiencing a ‘golden moment’ with Genoa. Before the international break, the central defender scored his first goal in Serie A, decisive for the victory over Verona which gave Alberto Gilardino’s team peace of mind and moves them away from any imminent relegation danger.

In the most recent match for Romania during the current international break, he played 90 minutes and provided an assist in the 2-1 win over Israel which takes Iordanescu’s team to the European Championships in Germany next year.

These are results and performances which testify to the great growth of the centre-back, bought by the Rossoblù last summer for €5.5m from Juventus, and now the value of the class of 21-year-old has already multiplied.

Milan scouts are watching Dragusin with interest, believing he is a young and physically strong profile, but Genoa have him under contract until 2027 and thus a January sale can be pretty much ruled out.

The Rossoblu will not make any decisions in the next few weeks, they will evaluate the Romanian’s future with a cool head and hope to trigger an auction involving other clubs, especially those in the Premier League from which some enquiries have come in recently.
