Alessandro Florenzi continues to play a key role in the Italian national team and a decision will soon be made on his future at club level.
Yesterday evening, Roberto Mancini gave Florenzi the captain’s armband during the 1-1 draw against Germany and he was praised for his performance by the media, as was Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali.
Calciomercato.com report that Florenzi’s future with regards to his club career will soon be resolved. The intention of Milan is to buy him permanently from Roma this summer because he is Italian (good for the squad lists), experienced, charismatic and versatile, making him undoubtedly useful to Pioli both on and off the pitch.
The knot to untie is the €4.5m fee agreed with the Giallorossi last summer to buy him outright, so an attempt to snatch a discount will be made. But regardless of the outcome of this attempt, he should stay and be one of the first signings of the RedBird era.
