CM: Forward happy at Real Madrid but Milan deal remains possible – the reason

By Ben Dixon -

In recent weeks, AC Milan have re-opened their interest in Arda Guler, and a deal looks like a possibility for the summer, even if the youngster is happy in Madrid, currently.

Last summer, Milan were one of several teams interested in, at the time, Fenerbahce wonderkid Arda Guler. However, Los Blancos beat them to a deal, but he has struggled to impress much so far, largely due to a spell of injury.

Having only played in four La Liga games so far this season, all from the bench, it is a possibility that he will move again in the upcoming summer, with Madrid’s attack likely to be strengthened by the names of Endrick and Kylian Mbappe, meaning his playing time could be further limited.

As a result, Calciomercato.com have reported that Milan may look to offer the attacking midfielder a route into first-team football, ideally through a permanent deal. However, it is known that Madrid may not like this idea, so the Rossoneri might have to include a redemption clause.

Another option that could be explored is a loan spell with an option to buy, with the club hoping that Florentino Perez will be open to negotiations.

Ultimately, though, they have to convince Guler that the move is right for him. Given he scored this weekend for Los Blancos, and he and Carlo Ancelotti said that Guler had a future with the club, it may be difficult.

  1. Dont let loan without option anymore in ACM. Wasting time growing RM player. Guler can go to small club for dry loan

  2. If he’s happy then let him stay there. Or they can dry loan him to Frosinone if he wants playing time in Serie A.
Diaz dry loan was useful to get us through toughter times, but we are at a different place now.
