AC Milan’s search for a new striker continues and the candidacy of Serhou Guirassy is growing stronger and stronger as time passes, a report claims.
Calciomercato.com recall how Guirassy scored yet another goal last night – his 18th of the season (16 of which have been in the league) – and this time it was decisive for VfB Stuttgart’s progression to the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal, against none other than Borussia Dortmund.
His impressive numbers (20 goal contributions across all competitions) are attracting the attention of Newcastle United and Manchester United in the Premier League plus Roma and Milan in Italy, all of whom want a striker badly.
However, Guirassy’s bond with the city of Stuttgart and the club has become increasingly stronger as the months have passed, so much so that he does not want to leave while the season is ongoing.
He is aware that some trains only pass once though, especially when you are now 27 years old, so this might be the right moment to make the jump to a top European clubs. This is why the Rossoneri are pushing hard.
Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio are studying all the details of the possible coup and the Guinea international is climbing the list of targets. The €17m clause makes him very attractive for January, and the track is getting hotter and hotter.
I’ve just seen the list of potential African players from Serie A that are going to Afcon. Inter, Juventus and Lazio have non while we have Chuk and Bennacer. Quite a handicap for us in top four chase.
Guirassy is also leaving for Afcon I believe.
But they said benna wont leave
Pls Ac Milan should buy Youssef En-Nesyri form sevilla 🙏🙏🙏
Nope, not him. We don’t want anything to do with him, he is not even better than Adams.
This seems like Piatek transfer all over again.
100% 🙂
(Didn’t see your comment before I posted mine LOL!!!)
Risky signing, it’s 50/50, it could pay off massively, or he could be a flop.
Piatek 2.0?
27 years old and only this year he’s scoring well. Not proven over multiple seasons. Huge risk. I mean let’s face it the only reason we are after him is because he’s relatively cheap and we screwed up in summer not getting a proper striker so we have to take what’s left in the traditionally weak winter market. Personally I’m not sold on this guy.
Why can’t we just spend 40-50M on a proper PROVEN striker??? We spent 48M on essentially 2 back ups (Musah & Chukuweze) but we couldn’t spend that amount on a striker – the most important position on the pitch?? Always nickel and dimming everything. Terrible
This is the sort of striker Milan needs; a player that can move with the ball, and is not pushed around by defenders. Also, he can dribble, and his positioning is great. He plays like Thuram, but, his movement is better. He has height; can hold off opponents. And, he can score from inside or outside the 18-yard box. Let’s get him in January, before other clubs come knocking in the summer.
