CM: Guler now shining for Turkey – Milan serious about beating the competition

AC Milan are serious about signing Fenerbahce talent Arda Guler but his exploits for club and country could make things difficult, a report claims.

As Calciomercato.com report, Guler scored a gorgeous goal in Turkey’s 2-0 win over Wales last night in which he cut onto his favoured left foot from the right flank and curled one into the top corner.

That goal likely caught Milan’s eye, given Geoffrey Moncada is a longtime admirer of the playmaker/winger who ideally would replace one of Junior Messias or Alexis Saelemaekers on the right but also Charles De Ketelaere.

Together the CEO Giorgio Furlani, Moncada set to work to trying to beat the competition, while owner Gerry Cardinale and RedBird consider him the ideal profile for the project.

Guler is under contract with Fenerbahce until June 2025 and has a release clause of ‘just’ €17.5m. However, there is competition to sign the 18-year-old and now Fenerbahce are trying to extend the current agreement to raise or remove the release clause.

For these reasons, Moncada and Furlani have been working for some time to try gain an advantage over the other interested clubs.

After four goals and as many assists in 20 league games and his first goal in the Europa League against Dinamo Kiev, Arda Guler is now showing his talent on the international stage and Milan have sensed an opportunity.

  1. Arda, why not come to Milan? We can pay you half of what other teams offer BUT we can guarantee you a private parking spot just beside the entrance.
We would like an answer by August please.

  2. Grab him asap! Ajax, Benfica or Dortmund will come in pay his release clause and sell him in 1-2 year for over 50 mil, the same thing happened with Alvarez we refused to pay 20 mil release clause and we got Origi
