CM: How Milan will finance €28m signing of Chelsea loanee – trio to be sacrificed

Milan are totally convinced by Fikayo Tomori, who arrived on a six-month loan from Chelsea in January. Despite having very little time to adapt, the centre-back quickly earned a permanent spot in the starting XI.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri intend on exercising the €28m clause at the end of the season and thus secure Tomori on a permanent basis. While they have some money left over from the summer, they could also sell a trio.

The players in question are Mattia Caldara, Andrea Conti and Diego Laxalt, who are on loan at Atalanta, Parma and Celtic respectively. While it’s unsure if they will stay at those clubs, Milan are hoping to cash in €25m from them.

This is more than enough to sign Tomori, also because the Rossoneri had budgeted for a centre-back signing in the summer but ended up waiting until January. The Englishman looks set to stay at the club, in other words.
