AC Milan could be among the Serie A clubs who launch a move for Lille midfielder Renato Sanches, according to a report.
The Portugal international was one of the best performers on the field for the Ligue 1 side during their 3-0 win over Milan at San Siro on Thursday night, and he seems to have attracted some admiring glances as a result.
According to Calciomercato.it, the future of the former Bayern Munich man could well be in Italy, with Milan among the clubs ‘enchanted’ by his recent performances.
The report takes a look at his potential suitors in Italy, naming the Rossoneri as one of them given the links between Elliott and Lille as well as the club’s recruitment policy of signing young and talented players.
Since his agent is Jorge Mendes, Juventus seem like a potential option where he would unite with compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo, with whom he won the European Championship in 2016.
Gattuso’s Napoli are a possibility given they signed Osimhen from the same club, while his compatriot Paulo Fonseca is at Roma and Inter are in the market for another midfield.
The cost of a possible swoop, however, is certainly not low. He could end up costing Lille €25million with the achievement of some bonuses, for this reason their sale price would be €40m.
