CM.it: Milan discover midfield target from Vitoria Guimaraes has €10m clause

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have learned that they could land midfield target Tomas Handel for a relatively low price because of his release clause, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), chief scout Geoffrey Moncada is following some Primeira Liga players with interest, and Handel of Vitoria Guimarães is one of the profiles being monitored given his rapid his at the age of 20.

Calciomercato.it have published a report which confirms Milan’s interest in Handel, who is a left-footed midfielder who is more of a Bennacer type than that of a Kessie replacement. He does have a good physical presence though considering that he is about 180cm tall.

The report adds that Handel’s contract is expiring in June 2026 there is a release clause of €10m that was inserted into the deal, which is unlikely to represent an obstacle for Milan given his very young age and the fact he fits the club’s project.

Not only that, but Handel is represented the same agency as Pierre Kalulu, a factor that could further help a potential negotiation.
