CM.it: Milan pushing for €5m loan with obligation deal for Lazio centre-back

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are thinking about signing Francesco Acerbi to bolster the defence and the possible figures of the operation have emerged, according to a report.

Calciomercato.it reports that in recent days there have been significant steps forward regarding the defender’s return to the Rossoneri, where he played in the academy in the early 2010s.

He could take the place of Alessio Romagnoli who is expected to head the other way to join his boyhood club. Milan are seriously considering Acerbi and are looking to secure a loan deal with an obligation to buy linked to the total appearances that he makes next season.

There is already the approval of the 34-year-old who will certainly leave Lazio having suffered a breakdown in relations. The Biancoceleste want €7-8m to sell given he has a contract until 2025, but Milan want a loan with the obligation set at €5m. Inter, meanwhile, are focused on other targets.

  1. Renew Romagnoli’s contract and concentrate on the frank Kessie replacement, right-winger, attacking midfielder, and a striker if possible.

  2. So wait, it was easier to get Acerbi for 5M then to renew Romagnoli? I mean, these owners really are idiots, that is the Elliott policy about wages. Makes no sense in this case.

  3. From Bremer and Botman to Acerbi???? Hahahahaha!!! What a fkn joke. Ya and us fans who criticize Redbird are way off base eh??? Lol. I mean why wouldn’t we sign Acerbi – he’s old and slow as molasses – and played for us once and stunk. So ya sure why not let’s bring him back lol. Maybe we can convince Roque Junior to come out of retirement as well?

  4. hahahahaha
Stop being so freaking gullible people as there is no chance in hell that milan will pay either 5-7 mil for a 34 year old acerbi and as his contract lasts untill 2025 im pretty sure that lazio actually wants to cut his salary away and that even if it means selling him for far less money, much less like 1 mil. In the end if any teams wants to pay what the article speculates to be the demands then good luck to them and kudos to lazio 😀

    1. He currently earns 800.000 a year and x3 that is 2.4 mil so infact it should run up to 4.8 mil in salaries so if lazio sold the player for 1 mil their economy will have improved while actually also earning some cash for the club. I see no reason why they would reject such an offer as the ties between the player and fans seems permanently ruined. So why would lazio actually demand some rather ridiculous fee for a 34 year old when he is unwanted in the club and most likely wont play ?

    2. Dont forget ,AC Milan under yong hong li are stupidly pay 33 years biglia that only one year left contract for 16m euro to lazio and lotito smile at the end.

      1. The new season hasnt even fully started and you guys has the audacxity to compare our new owners to li yonghong ownership just because you have an issue reading news eating everything up raw because of the media speculating,
When i was a kid and whent to primary school i destintively remember us leaning about source critique but guess that wasnt mandatory around the world because people on this site and for that matter other web sites doesnt showcase any knowledge of source critique.
Dont get me wrong i could see acerbi joining us as a 5th choice defender while we loan out gabbbia tp futrher develope but milan paying 7-8 mil or even 5-7 mil seems far far fetched when lazio actually wants to save the wages.of an unwanted player,

          1. Thanks bb appreciate it coming from you

i wanted to link to transfermarkt but seems to not be allowed to do so but id recomend everyone interested in the serie a transfermarket to look it up there as it fully proves that the official moves are all currently loans from the last 2 seasons to be paid on july 1rst.

          2. There are a few exeptions as napoli has a few additions lined up and sassuolo has 1 but it clearly shows its not like we have been left behind as some people like to suggest on this website.
