Last night was a memorable one for Ruben Loftus-Cheek as he didn’t just get another start in another league win for AC Milan, but he also got his first goal for the club.
The midfielder has largely been impressive since his arrival at Milan during the summer transfer window from Chelsea as the third of 10 signings that were made in the mercato. He quickly made a starting spot his own, and the team have benefitted.
As Calciomercato.com write, Loftus-Cheek scored his first goal for the Rossoneri and it could hardly have been better. Receiving the ball from Christian Pulisic – his old team-mate at Chelsea – he sent a laser of a shot from 25 yards into the far corner.
The source reveals that Loftus-Cheek could have stayed in the Premier League last summer, given that he had several offers from clubs in that league, but when Milan showed up he didn’t want to hear from any other teams.
It was a good move for him. The pace and style of Serie A is so much better suited for him and he’s less likely to get injured as in the prem it’s all about pace and running.
Buy Pierre-Emile Højbjerg
Hojberg is wonderful player
It would be nice to have him but;
A) he would be expensive. 40+M for sure
B) we dont need a midfielder
Wouldnt it be best to spend that kind of money on a ST?
