CM: Maldini in talks with entourage of Real Madrid winger – Man Utd and Bayern also keen

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in talks with the entourage of Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez, a report claims, but there is strong competition for his signature.

According to Calciomercato.com, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are looking for a quality reinforcement at low cost and that is why they are evaluating free transfer opportunities. They are searching for a winger with very specific technical characteristics: skill in one-on-one, dynamism and high work rate.

Lucas Vazquez’s profile perfectly matches the parameters set by the Rossoneri and Maldini has already had more than one contact with the player’s entourage, even if his priority remains a renewal with Real Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane is pushing for the 29-year-old to stay but at the moment there is a large distance between offer and demand. Lucas Vazquez’s request is to get over €5m net for the next four years. Milan know his requests and could offer €4m net, which is the salary ceiling set by Elliott Management.

There is competition from several top European clubs such as Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Inter. The bottom line is that Milan are looking for a new winger, and they are evaluating Federico Bernardeschi and observing to understand if they could get Vazquez.
