CM: Milan reach agreement with Antwerp for Ballo-Toure – the situation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have reached an agreement in principle with Antwerp over the sale of Fode Ballo-Toure, according to a report.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are continuing to try and find a destination for Ballo-Toure and they want at least €4m for a permanent sale. In the last few hours, an agreement in principle has been reached with Belgian champions Antwerp.

Milan is pushing to sell Ballo-Touré to Antwerp but the player is not open to the idea because he wants to reopen the talks with Werder Bremen.

The left-back had put the German club on hold because he wants to return to Ligue 1 but at present there are no concrete offers from there. That’s why he now considers a transfer to the Bundesliga more attractive than the offer from Antwerp.

Despite a long negotiation that has been going on for at least a month, Milan have not yet found an agreement with Werder Bremen because they want a loan with option to buy and the Rossoneri are insisting it be an obligation.

A new set of talks between Ballo-Toure’s agent and the Milan management is expected in the next few days to try to find a solution that satisfies all the parties involved.
