Juventus and AC Milan are fighting for a top four spot in the standings but they could also do battle for a midfielder in the summer, a report claims.
According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Juventus and Milan are both interested in signing talented young Lecce midfielder Joan Gonzalez ahead of the upcoming window with both clubs looking to bolster their midfield.
Gonzalez came through the Barcelona’s La Masia academy before moving to Italy two years ago, and he has been one of the more impressive performers from Lecce after their return to the top flight.
The Rossoneri and the Bianconeri are ‘at the top of the list of suitors’ for the 20-year-old, who could look to make the jump to a top club after a season with four goal contributions in 32 games across league and cup.
With Tiemoue Bakayoko and Aster Vranckx’s loans currently set to expire, Milan are in need of at least one extra body in midfield.
