CM: Milan and Moncada pushing hard for Güler as father meets Fenerbahce

By Oliver Fisher -

Some interesting developments have occurred in the Arda Güler situation, with AC Milan maintaining a strong interest in signing him.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are trying to sign Güler but it is not easy because of the competition from Ajax, Napoli, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain, while his €17.5m clause may vanish soon.

Chief scout Geoffrey Moncada knew some time ago that the 18-year-old was and is a serious talent, and now that he has more power in the transfer market he is pushing to complete the signing.

It is clear that the Turkey international is a perfect fit for Milan’s project because of his age, potential, role and skill set, but now they must convince him that their project is the right one for him.

His father Ümit Güler has power of attorney and wants a big commission from his son’s next club as well as a signing bonus. As reported by the Turkish press in recent days, he met the president of Fenerbahçe – Ali Koç – to discuss the future of Güler.

He was asked if his son would consider staying for another year but the response was negative. However, out of gratitude to the club that helped him establish himself, he could renew and thus allow Fenerbahçe to collect an amount exceeding €17.5,.

It is an idea that should not be discarded, but seems difficult at the moment because of the gathering interest. A new meeting is expected in the next few days, to reach a conclusion, with Milan pushing.
