AC Milan have thrown their hats into the ring as they race to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa heats up, but they reportedly face competition from Barcelona.
According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.com, ‘half of Europe’ seems to have set its sights on Dragusin. The 21-year-old central defender has been very impressive for Genoa so far this season, having joined them from Juventus in the summer.
He has been tracked by both Roma and Milan, who would like to take him away from Liguria as early as January given each team have a need to sign a central defender. In England, it is Tottenham and especially Newcastle who have enquired multiple time.
The answer received from everyone for the moment is the same: Dragusin will not move from Genoa during the current season and any offers would be evaluated next summer at the earliest, also because the player is about to extend his contract with the Rossoblù until 2027.
In the meantime, however, a rather sensational rumor has emerged from Spain that Barcelona are interested in the Romanian. Even today the Grifone would not accept proposals lower than €35m though and that could go up, especially with a renewal and with continued impressive performances.
35M? That’s cute. Cant believe juve went and sold him. I’d kinda understand if they had cb spots filled with great players, but they don’t.
And yet Juventus is in second place two points behind Inter. And with a guy who was laying bricks four years ago at CB instead of Dragusin. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
idk if that has anything to do with anything. Everyone with a bit of football sense knew juve will be a contender this season.
I think inter are pretty much destined to get their second star. Now only Bologna and Sassuolo can stop them.
Speaking to “Cant believe juve went and sold him. I’d kinda understand if they had cb spots filled with great players, but they don’t”, as in I guess Juventus did have great players at CB, they don’t regret selling Dragusin, and are always able to source players who can do the job (particularly at CB).
