Dominik Szoboszlai is one of the names at the top of Ralf Rangnick’s list to reinforce Milan’s midfield, according to a report.
The Red Bull Salzburg star is currently on a contract which is set to expire in 2022, and according to Calciomercato.com the Hungary international is ‘about to trigger an international auction’.
The Rossoneri are serious about obtaining his signature and have already had talks with both the club and the player’s entourage, but the competition is strong as RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and Lazio are all also keen.
Salzburg are in no hurry to sell Szoboszlai and as a result they are ready to listen to the offers that arrive and pick the best one.
The auction will begin at around €18-20million and Lazio already have a general agreement with the player, but one with Salzburg remains to be found.
Igli Tare’s goal is to increase the pressure in order not to prevent the price from increasing, while Milan have received a green light from the player regarding a move and intend to make a first offer to Salzburg soon.
