CM: Milan delighted with Bennacer purchase but identify one key area to improve

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are very happy with the signing of Ismael Bennacer last summer, a report claims, but have identified an area where he must improve.

Bennacer joined Milan in the summer from Empoli for a fee widely reported to be €16m plus €2m in bonuses, with the young Algerian having impressed since he was allowed to leave Arsenal.

It was revealed during the week that the Gunners in fact rejected the chance to match the Rossoneri’s bid and sign the young midfielder for what is looking more and more like a bargain price.

According to Calciomercato.comMilan are understandably very happy with Bennacer. He is taking on important responsibilities, increasing the level of both the team’s play overall but in particular the quality of the midfield.

Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban are happy with the investment they made in the summer to snatch him from Empoli. However, he now has to improve some choices: he must take fewer risks which have led to the many yellow cards he has received.
