AC Milan are feeling confident about securing the renewal of Ismael Bennacer having been in negotiations over the past few months, a report claims.
The midfielder signed a five-year deal with Milan back in the summer of 2019 when he joined from Empoli but given that the management have had problems getting their key players to stick around – as the Gianluigi Donnarumma and Franck Kessie sagas show – there is now a proactive attitude from them to reward key pillars of the squad for their exploits.
According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Milan have been working on the renewal of Bennacer since the summer with the clear intention of extending the current deadline of 2024 by a further two years, therefore until 2026.
The report even adds that positive feelings are filtering through regarding the success of the deal, with the management clearly feeling pretty confident that they can secure the long-term future of a key asset.
