Chaka Traore has found himself in quite a strange position early in the season after what developed during the summer transfer window.
Traore is without a doubt one of the brightest prospects that Milan have given he has 16 goals in 49 games for the Primavera across all competitions, playing mainly as a left winger.
He was involved in the preseason preparations under Stefano Pioli’s watch suggesting a permanent promotion to the senior side but he is yet to play, instead featuring (and scoring) with Ignazio Abate’s side in the UEFA Youth League.
Calciomercato.com confirm that Milan believe a lot in Chaka Traorè’s qualities, so much so that they have renewed his contract with a five-year extension, and the obvious path is very much one that ends with him having an established first team role.
However, the idea of the Rossoneri management is not to waste time in a crucial part of his development. Thus, they will evaluate a loan in January to a team that can offer him an important role and minutes.
With Leao, Okafor, and Pulisic who can also plays as a left winger, he should consider a loan where he can play regularly.
Better than loosing him. Loan him out to a Serie A or B side
I know he’s a right winger but I find it hard to believe he’d be an inferior option to Romero on the right.
That probably doesn’t change the reality that he needs a loan somewhere for playing time.
