CM: Milan in talks with Marseille over €20m-rated midfielder – Maldini proposes counterparts

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in talks with Marseille over the signing of versatile young star Boubacar Kamara, according to a report.

BeIN SPORTS are reporting that the Rossoneri are close to buying Kamara, who has been a starter at Marseille for 3 seasons but could now look for a new experience given his contract expires in 2022 and there is nothing to suggest a renewal is imminent.

Calciomercato.com confirms that Milan and Marseille are in dialogue over Kamara as the Ligue 1 giants have so far had unsuccessful attempts to extend his current contract with the Rossoneri ready to seize any opportunities on favourable terms.

Marseille do not seem willing to grant discounts and are asking for no less than €20m to sell Kamara, while Maldini and Massara have not planned such an investment for a player who would be a free transfer next year.

Their next plan is to try and insert a counterpart to lower Kamara’s price, which is a hypothesis that does not excited the French club too much, who are hoping to find a buyer in Spain or England.
