CM: Milan intrigued by versatile Ghana international and will scout him at the World Cup

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are expected to monitor the performances of a Ghana forward during the World Cup in Qatar, according to a report.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri management will keep their eyes open when the World Cup starts so they can observe players with potential and take advantage of the possible opportunities that might arise.

There is one name that is already marked down on the wish list and that is Mohammed Kudus of Ajax, who will be there to represent Ghana. The 22-year-old has 10 goals in 21 total appearances this season, having played as a box-to-box midfielder, a playmaker, a winger and mostly as a false nine.

However, there is already strong interest in Kudus from Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, as well as from Everton and Tottenham in the Premier League, thanks to the intuition of Ajax head coach Alfred Schreuder who has allowed him to shine in the attack.

Schreuder has transformed him into an atypical centre-forward that runs the channels and provides for his team-mates as well as making the right runs towards goal himself, and in Qatar he is ready to shine.

    1. Yea, years ago. That’s exactly why they need to scout again – to understand the players development and his current playstyle, weakness, habits, etc.

  1. We do not need no CAF/AFCON players no more. Having 2-3 African internationals in the first team is suicidal. Basically a Qatar World Cup every two years. They play and get injured while the rest of top tier footballers are sunbathing on beaches.
