AC Milan are aiming to reinforce the team with a new No.9 between January and the summer, with a couple of key targets on their wish list. Serhou Guirassy is one of them and talks are underway with his entourage, a report claims.
Olivier Giroud isn’t getting younger at the age of 37 – though with eight goals and five assists this season – and Milan thus intend to sign a striker for the future. Lille’s Jonathan David has been mentioned many times, but it appears Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy has leapfrogged him.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are in talks with the player’s entourage but the big obstacle is the salary demand of €4m per year. It’s a salary that would make Guirassy one of the best-paid players in the team and that’s why the Rossoneri are reflecting.
The 27-year-old, who has scored 19 goals in 16 appearances this season, has a €17m release clause in his contract and many clubs are thus monitoring his situation. Nevertheless, he remains the Plan A for Milan and an attempt will most likely be made next month.
Giroud and Luka Jovic will lead the line for now. The Serbian has scored three goals in his last three appearances and could stay at Milan beyond this season.
Jovic is probably better than this guy. Since when is scoring in Germany for half a season a reference that you’re a good player? After years of being useless?
That could go for jovic too he scored 15 last season and now at the half of the season he only got 4. So….
I believe both could be useful Guirassy and Jovic.
Jovic would come for free and Guirassy for only 17,5 m it could be brilliant

Guirassy is worth the risk and 4m salary is nothing compared to what he would get in the EPL.
Milan should stop being a cheap. Any quality striker will cost more than 40m – 60m minimum with at least a 4-5m salary.
what makes Guirassy worth the risk but giving jović a starter spot and a chance to prove himselft is not worth the risk?
Funny enough we got a quality ST for 3M( Giroud).
Real paid 60+M for a striker then left him on the bench and made a pikachu face when he didnt deliver.. Same thing with Mariano Diaz, bought for 20M and left on the bench for 5 years.. LOL
It’s 2023, not 2003. We are not in the position to sign ready made strikers. Taking risks on players who may be on season wonders is the market we operate in.
we need goals and a back up, 17 million even for 10 to 12 goals in Serie A is a bargain too good to pass up on. He is at a perfect price for a January signing.

Well I hope poili says ..the reason he has brought success to this club ..just because we are going through a difficult period,,,doesn’t mean he should be sacked ..If you think that a new manager will bring success,,then you are living in a fantasy world ,,especially looking at the names been lined up Conte /potter etc ..They would definitely be a setback

Coming back to now ,..We have got two centre forwards at the moment in form ,,,Yes one is Olivier Giroud…just face facts ..9 goals 6 assists in all competitions so far …He will score 20 goals this season…I have said that all along ..Also jovic is doing well the last couple of games .

We are still in 3 rd place in the leauge ..
We are still in Europe,yes not unfortunately in the champions leauge ,,,but winning this competition would be a success…We can win the coppa cup .
So we are in a good position to be in next year’s champions leauge .

He’ll be making as much as Origi and Bakayoko did last year on the bench. I don’t see any issues with that salary. Pay up or risk falling even more behind.
