CM: Milan offered chance to sign Russian playmaker – Boban’s response

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan were offered the chance to sign Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Aleksey Miranchuk, according to a report.

The 24-year-old has been in fine form so far this season, amassing nine goals and four assists in 19 games in all competitions for the Russian side.

It was reported last month by La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – that Milan had been offered the chance to sign Miranchuk in the upcoming transfer window.

Juventus have also been heavily linked with a move for Miranchuk, having faced him in the group stages of the Champions League.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan were indeed proposed the chance to sign the midfielder, who took note of the offer but ultimately are focusing on other profiles – with Zvonomir Boban himself apparently giving the response.

The Rossoneri are in desperate need of both creativity and firepower, having scored just 13 goals in the first 14 games of the Serie A campaign thus far.
