CM: Milan want to strengthen in five positions with versatile €35m forward targeted

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are working on their summer transfer window already and they are expected to resume talks over Noah Okafor, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan’s priorities are to sign a left-back, two midfielders, a forward (winger/playmaker) and a striker. Daichi Kamada and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are two targets, while new talks with Okafor’s entourage are expected.

The Swiss international has chosen to leave Salzburg after saying no to the extension of his contract expiring on 30 June 2024. He has an EU passport and has a salary that falls within the Rossoneri’s economic parameters, and his asking price could drop from €35m.

That is because Okafor has had subdued second part of the season, in contrast to a dazzling start to 2022-23. He has not scored a league goal in 2023 and his season finished in mid-April due to a fractured metatarsal in his right foot remedied in the match against LASK Linz.

Okafor is working to recover from the injury and awaits a call from his agents. In addition to Milan – who appreciate him for his ability to play as a winger and as a No.9 – he is liked by Napoli, Aston Villa and Liverpool.

    1. Yes they are better options. But less chance of getting them cus of bidding war. Okafor is in unproven league so management dare to gamble for him lol.

    1. What’s makes the difference is age of players. They are confident that in couple of years those young players will improve and gradually become more valuable assets.

  1. Striker : Marcus thuram, despite hit by injury he’s still beast with 13 goals and 5 assist in bundesliga this season.
Midfielder : Kamada and try to get Tielemans (he’s have good season imo)
Left back : Parisi would be usefull back up for Theo

  2. I’m down with Kamada for free. Parisi or Augello from Sampdoria as left backs.
We’re gonna need 3 more CFs. Okafor is young but will struggle in Italy for a year or two. Arnautovic for a very low fee might be a fill in and most than likely Lazetic will be back.

  3. What is this rumour . Another CDK with same price ? If Maldini sign this , then he dont learn from his mistake . After see this rumour now im thinking arnautovic not bad for squad next season

  4. Pls get Casadei from chelsea. He’s young, italian, kessie style perhaps, and doing good in the national team.

  5. Okafor is quality player if we manage to get him Okafor will give opponents headache like leao do he isn’t far behind leao

  6. Ya’ll say that he’s “unproven”, but let me ask you:
Was Lautaro proven before moving to Italy? Khvara? Kim?
We won’s sign players from City or Barca, you know that, right?
With out budget situation we have to go for lower profile players and to develop them. From what i saw in UCL, this guy is good. He’s strong, fast and baller.
The only problem is that he prefers to play on the left and Leao’s extension might make him look elsewhere

  7. Okafor doesn’t seem like a good fit. If we are going to pay something decent for a striker than there may be better options. RW is a priority too; then there’s Kamada for free and I like the look of Udogie as cover for Theo – may be able to get a loan + deal from Tottenham too.
