CM: Milan still believe in top four; Maldini, Boban pushing for experienced reinforcements

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still aiming for a top four finish this season and owners Elliott Management are reportedly ready to assist those aims by providing money for January reinforcements.

The Rossoneri currently sit nine points behind fourth-placed Roma with a game in hand, and that game in hand comes in the form of a crucial game against another side vying for a top four finish in Lazio.

Despite a poor start to the season which has included five defeats in the last 10 games, Calciomercato.com claims that Milan still believe Champions League qualification is achievable.

In order to assist those aims though Milan ‘need important reinforcements in January’, the report adds, something which Zvonomir Boban and Paolo Maldini are well aware of.

The two directors are apparently convincing Elliott to focus on signing players with experience, and the report cites il Corriere della Sera in claiming that the Singer family are now ‘opening’ to the idea of spending in January.
