CM: Milan want €25m RB Leipzig star for three reasons – Spurs and Dortmund also keen

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are big admirers of RB Leipzig star Marcel Sabitzer and he could replace Hakan Calhanoglu, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, there are several reasons that Milan are tempted by Sabitzer including the fact he has strong leadership as he was Leipzig’s captain, excellent technique and also the work rate on and off the ball which would make him perfect for the system.

The 27-year-old has a contract which expires in a year and that is why he could leave this summer, but Leipzig are trying to get him to extend his current deal by another couple of seasons. The player is reflecting on his future and is examining all the interest that has arrived, such as from Borussia Dortmund, Spurs and also Milan.

The Rossoneri for their part would like to complete a couple of sales before attempting to sign Sabitzer, who has a €50m release clause but could leave for around €25m, which represents an advantageous evaluation considering the value of the player. Maldini and Massara are carefully observing the situation and could move soon.
