CM: Milan will sell out-of-favour defender this summer if good enough offer arrives

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan defender Mateo Musacchio could leave the club this summer in the face of an acceptable offer, according to a report.

The Argentine was one of the first names on the team sheet under Gennaro Gattuso last season and at the beginning of the current campaign, however he has fallen down the pecking order.

At present, Matteo Gabbia and January signing Simon Kjaer appear to be ahead of Musacchio in the depth chart in terms of partners for captain Alessio Romagnoli, with no sign of that changing any time soon.

This has of course led to speculation about the future of the former Villarreal man, who arrived in summer 2017 under the Yonghong Li ownership.

As per the latest from Calciomercato.com, Musacchio is no longer a permanent starter for Milan and can ‘pack his bags’ in the summer. His future is still to be written, but if a good offer arrives for the 29-year-old then it is likely that the two parties will separate after three years.
