AC Milan are still working to try and resolve the futures of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu and hope to do so sooner rather than later.

Calciomercato.com reports that developments on the renewal front are expected because both players are entering the final few months of their deal and are, in theory, free to sign a pre-contract with another club at any moment.
Either today or Wednesday a new meeting will be staged between the Rossoneri management and Calhanoglu’s agent, Gordon Stipic, to try to further reduce the gap between offer and demand. Milan have not gone above a €4m net per season salary, while Calhanoglu’s request has been lowered to around €5-5.5m. Bonuses and other details can help to bridge the gap.
Regarding Donnarumma, the goalkeeper himself revealed last week that ‘playing the Champions League is a dream’ and the report adds that it is a dream that cannot wait another year. Mino Raiola has always emphasised how Milan’s project and competitiveness are essential to agree a renewal, so in a sense Sunday’s game against Roma is huge.
There are several obstacles regarding a new deal such as the duration of the contract (the club want a five-year extension, Raiola would like only two) and the salary (€7.5m net offered, but Raiola wants more). The revenues that come from qualifying in the Champions League would be precious to support the expenses.
