AC Milan intend to strengthen their attacking department and they will do so in January if the right opportunity were to present itself, with Serhou Guirassy the latest name linked.
According to Calciomercato.com, Olivier Giroud will soon renew his contract for another season – until 2025 – and the management will support the French striker with a younger profile who can guarantee a return in terms of goals.

Jonathan David of Lille and Akor Adams of Montpellier are not the only profiles that Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio are working on, because the list includes at least three or four other potential targets.
One of them is Guirassy, a Guinean striker who currently plays for Stuttgart. Last summer the German club bought him from Stade Rennais for €9m and it has proven to be a big success given he has 15 Bundesliga goals in nine games.
Guirassy has Milan’s attention even if he cannot be considered the main candidate. The €17m release clause valid for January represents another interesting component to things, and Moncada will decide whether or not to start a negotiation in the next few weeks.

@bb. Piatek cost Milan 35m. Guirassy fee is 17m, Guirassy is half the cost and half the risk. He’s the best affordable option on the market.
All the other strikers will cost upwards of 30m+ and more. I would not spend 40m on Jonathan David, Plavidis, or Giminez who cost 60m+.
Milan should not invest that much money on one player.
Piatek 2.0 would still be better than one hit wonder David, or “Akor Adams” whom I hadn’t even heard of until this month.

This season aside, his track record is pretty awful, and he is not that young either (27 years old). He sure seems way cheaper than the other players, but is this a player who can actually succeed with us, or his current track record is due to very specific conditions with his team that we might not be able to replicate.
