CM: Piatek makes intentions clear to Milan; two unknowns to be deciphered

By Oliver Fisher -

Striker Krzysztof Piatek has made it clear he wants to stay at AC Milan but risks being left out if the mercato plans go accordingly, a report claims.

After enduring a tough few weeks in which he struggled to find any form, there were signs in Sunday’s 3-2 win over Bologna that Piatek can still be a very useful asset to the team

The Pole currently has four goals this season but three of those have come from the penalty spot, with the general consensus being that more is needed to justify his price tag.

According to Calciomercato.com, Piatek wants to keep his place in Milan and has no intention of leaving in January, eager to demonstrate his qualities – especially if Ibrahimovic arrives.

However there are two unknowns to be deciphered: firstly the formation, because in a 4-3-3 there is obviously room for only one striker.

Secondly is the idea of a new striker arriving: if it were Zlatan or even someone like Mario Mandzukic it would be difficult to leave them on the bench, with Piatek having more competition.
