CM: Pirlo contemplating changes to his starting XI for game against Milan – the details

By Oliver Fisher -

Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo is set to make some alterations to his team for the game against AC Milan tonight, according to a report.

The Rossoneri know that with a win they will stay top of the Serie A table and extend the gap to Juve to 13 points, but a slip up could see them surrender first place to city rivals Inter. You can read our match preview here.

The build-up to the game has been marred by various selection problems for both sides, as Matteo Gabbia, Ismael Bennacer, Alexis Saelemaekers and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are still recovering from their respective injuries, while Sandro Tonali is suspended and both Rade Krunic and Ante Rebic have Coronavirus.

The Bianconeri confirmed yesterday that both Alex Sandro and Juan Cuadrado have tested positive for COVID-19, while Alvaro Morata is out through injury.

According to Calciomercato.com (via JuveFC), Pirlo is expected to opt for Merih Demiral instead of Giorgio Chiellini in defence because the Turkish defender will cope better against Theo Hernandez.

Meanwhile, the report adds that Federico Chiesa is expected to start ahead of Dejan Klusevski, while Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot will be the central midfield pairing.
