Any doubts that the AC Milan coaching staff might have had ahead of Thursday’s trip to face Lille have now been resolved, a report claims.
According to Calciomercato.com, Gianluigi Donnarumma will start in goal as expected, with Diogo Dalot coming in at right-back and Matteo Gabbia at centre-back to partner Simon Kjaer, with Alessio Romagnoli not yet at 100%. Theo Hernandez will be on the left.
In the midfield there will be rest for Franck Kessie as Ismael Bennacer will be partnered by Sandro Tonali. Milan have been forced into changes in the forward department though with Ibrahimovic, Saelemaekers and Leao all injured, and Jens Petter Hauge will take a spot on the left.
Hakan Calhanoglu will remain in the centre behind the striker Ante Rebic, while Samu Castillejo will be given a spot on the right wing with Brahim Diaz on the bench.
With a victory Milan would re-establish top spot in Group H. The Rossoneri are second on six points – importantly three ahead of Sparta Praha in third – with Lille first on seven. Even a draw would be a result that, all in all, would give a high chance of progressing to the knockouts.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Dalot, Kjaer, Gabbia, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Tonali; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Hauge; Rebic.
