CM: Pulisic pushed for Milan move despite Chelsea preferring another bid

Chelsea wanted to accept another offer for Christian Pulisic from what AC Milan put forward but the player pushed the move through, a report claims.

Milan pursued Pulisic during the early stages of the summer window and Calciomercato.com report that the winger strongly wanted the transfer from Chelsea to the Rossoneri, something that was key in the negotiations.

In the end, Milan were able to get a deal done for €20m plus bonuses having raised an initial bid, but they have to convince Chelsea who would have preferred to accept Lyon’s offer because it was superior.

As is often the case in these situations, the will of the player proved to be crucial and in the end Pulisic got his move to the San Siro where he has so far been exceptional.

He started each of the three Serie A games so far this season and scored in his first two appearances.
