CM: Rangnick the key as Milan look to beat Leipzig and Real Madrid to PSG defender

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are serious about their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain defender Tanguy Kouassi, according to a report, and Ralf Rangnick could be key.

The Rossoneri have been repeatedly linked with a move for the 17-year-old, whose contract is set to expire at the end of June.

Calciomercato.com confirm that Milan would only have to pay a small compensation fee to PSG, and that Kouassi has decided – in agreement with his agent – to leave the PSG to go to a club that can guarantee him more playing time.

The centre-back reached an agreement with RB Leipzig in January as the German side offered fascinating technical project and a large commission to his agent, but nothing is signed.

Leipzig are on pole, Real Madrid arewatching and considering making an offer, but watch out for Milan who are ready to use the Ralf Rangnick card.

The German rates Kouassi highly and has already spoken in recent months with both the teenager and his entourage. Milan can offer him the chance to get playing time immediately as he will start on equal footing with Musacchio and Duarte.
