CM: Real Betis director attends Milan-PSG – the latest on the pursuit of Miranda

By Oliver Fisher -

Real Betis director Ramon Planes was at the game between AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night, and it does not seem to be a visit purely aimed at watching an entertaining game.

Calciomercato.com report that Betis are interested in several PSG players who could be on the market in January when the window reopens, however there are also some implications involving Milan.

Planes’ presence in Milan suggested a meeting with Milan which, according to what was gathered, did not take place in an official form. Despite this, Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio continue to work with the agents of Juan Miranda, the Spanish left-back who has long been identified as the perfect deputy for Theo Hernández.

The parties are close to agreement on a five-year contract worth €2m net per season, with Milan moving ahead of time because they want to secure Miranda immediately for next summer when he will be available on a free transfer.

They are trying to bring forward his arrival to January, though the negotiation with Betis will be very difficult because head coach Manuel Pellegrini does not want to lose him mid-season.

Moncada first wants to secure the agreement with the player and then move on to the operational phase with the Spanish club, and the idea is to offer €3m to try bring forward his arrival by six months.

  1. It is bad Policy for acmilan and it is also bad policy to say we arr singning for this player to be the deputy of theo,Giroud or any aother player wr want to sigm.
Competition is healthy may be the signing player could be better .
It also desheartens the confidence of the players and palyers are open to develop and this could be major barrier and hinder the willings and thr ampions of both Growing, upgrading and incoming players.
I Recommend ac milan Owners and managers to stop this polivy.
