CM: Roma win race for Lyon midfielder despite Milan and Betis interest

It seems as though Roma have won the race to sign Houssem Aouar from Lyon when his contract expires at the end of the season.

As Calciomercato.com write, it was a month ago that Aouar was in the capital to visit Roma and also undergo some medical cheks, and now he can be considered a Roma player. The French-Algerian midfielder chose the Giallorossi despite the interest from Betis and Leverkusen and Milan.

In the end the courtship of Tiago Pinto has won and it started last summer, and now it seems the time has come for signatures. The midfielder will sign a contract with Roma once his contract with Lyon expires at the end of June.

He will therefore be the first reinforcement for next season regardless of whether Jose Mourinho stays or not. In his experience in France, Aouar amassed 48 goals and 37 assists in 258 matches, showing his ability to be decisive.
