CM: Salzburg forward still high on Milan’s list of attacking targets

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara know that they must sign a new striker ahead of next season and they are taking time to make sure they get the right profile, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com report that Maldini and Massara have the signing of a new No.9 on their list of priorities because they know that Stefano Pioli needs some help in that particular area ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.

Olivier Giroud should extend his deal for another season but will be 37 by then, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is 41 and is likely to retire at the end of the current campaign while Divock Origi has not hit the ground running due to injury problems and struggled finding the back of the net.

So who could come in to inject some new life to the centre-forward position? Noah Okafor of Red Bull Salzburg is a profile the management continue to hold a strong interest in, while there are names in France and Germany that are also being monitored.

Currently, the directors are thinking that the sales of Ante Rebic and Origi could bring an amount to be reinvested in a new striker.

  1. He is more of a left winger, maybe he could replace Rebic. but as a center forward Hell No.

I would prefer Jesper Lindstrom of Frankfort to replace Rebic as he can play on both side of the flank and also as a second striker
